You are invited to a celebratory reception, sponsored by the Canadian Drug Policy Consortium (CDPC), on Tuesday, March 8 from 5:30 – 7:30 at the Hotel Novotel Ottawa, 33 Nicholas Street, Room Albion B. We hope that you can come and lift a glass with us, have a bite to eat, meet some of the people and organizations involved and of course hear a little bit about what CDPC hopes to achieve in contributing to a healthier and safer Canada and world.
The CDPC is a new national civil society network made up of organizations and individuals that have come together to work towards improving Canada´s drug policies. CDPC´s vision is “a safe, healthy and just Canada in which drug policy and legislation as well as related institutional practice are based on evidence, human rights, social inclusion, and public health’.
CDPC´s National Steering Committee is holding its inaugural meeting in Ottawa, on March 7 – 9th. Twenty individuals representing a wide range of organizations and stakeholders impacted by Canadian and international drug policies will be spending these three days developing the CCDP´s work plan. As part of these proceedings, we would like you to participate with us in celebrating this important milestone.
CDPC looks forward to engaging with all political parties at every level of government, policy makers and diverse communities to support efforts to attain a more robust response to drug-related problems throughout Canada.

Vous êtes invités à une réception de célébration, commanditée par le Consortium canadien des politiques sur les drogues (CCPD), mardi, le 8 mars, de 17h30 à 19h30 à l´hôtel Novotel Ottawa, au 33, rue Nicholas, pièce Albion B. Nous espérons que vous pouvez venir lever un verre avec nous, prendre une bouchée, rencontrer des personnes et organisations qui y sont impliqués, et bien sûr entendre ce que le CCPD espère accomplir afin de contribuer à un Canada et un monde plus sain et sécuritaire.
Le CCPD est un nouveau réseau national de la société civile composé d´organisations et d´individus qui se sont réunis pour travailler à l'amélioration des politiques canadiennes sur les drogues. Le CCPD envisonne « un Canada sécuritaire, sain et juste dans lequel les politiques sur les drogues et la législation, ainsi que ses pratiques institutionnelles sont basées sur des preuves, les droits de la personne, l'inclusion sociale et la santé publique ».
Le Comité directeur national du CCPD tiendra sa réunion inaugurale à Ottawa du 7 au 9 mars. Vingt individus représentant un large éventail d'organisations et d'intervenants touchés par les politiques canadiennes et internationales sur les drogues prendront ces trois jours pour développer le plan de travail du CCPD. Dans le cadre de ces procédures, nous vous invitons à participer avec nous pour célébrer cette étape importante.
Le CCPD cherche à s'engager avec tous les partis politiques à tous les niveaux de gouvernement, les décideurs et les diverses communautés afin de soutenir les efforts pour atteindre une réponse plus robuste aux problèmes liés à la drogue à travers le Canada.
Nous avons hâte de vous rencontrer le 8 mars afin de commencer à travailler ensemble pour un avenir meilleur.
